On Wednesday, March 23, 2016, the Arizona Housing Alliance (now Arizona Housing Coalition) hosted the 3rd Annual Arizona Healthy Communities in partnership with Arizona Partnership for Healthy Communities - Bringing Communities of Health and Opportunities conference.
The conference brought in industry experts presenting insight and knowledge of understanding of how to build healthy communities. Learn how the housing, transportation, healthcare, public health and community development sectors can collaborate to transform the physical environment of our neighborhoods and communities to improve the health of residents.

Professor of Sociology and American Studies & Ethnicity at the
University of Southern California
Demographic Shifts, Economic Challenges, and the Future of Healthy Communities
His keynote address, Demographic Shifts, Economic Challenges and the Future of Healthy Communities will address Equity, Growth, and Community. Dr. Pastor explores the implications of these trends for community developers. He suggests that we need new narratives that will stress the centrality of equity, new skills, that can bridge gaps by place and race, and new approaches to healthy communities.
