JEFF OLIVET, M.A.The Arizona Coalition to End Homelessness is pleased to announce Jeff Olivet, President and CEO of the Center for Social Innovation, as this year's first keynote speaker on Wednesday, September 21st, during the first General Session of the 23rd Annual Statewide Conference to End Homelessness.
For more than two decades, Jeff has been a national leader on homelessness, poverty, affordable housing, behavioral health, public health, and HIV. During his health and human services career, he has been a street outreach worker, case manager, housing director, coalition builder, writer, teacher, and activist. His work with hundreds of organizations across the United States and internationally has helped to improve strategic planning, organizational management, and implementation of evidence-based practices. Jeff is recognized as an expert in bringing innovative technologies and solutions to complex social problems.
Understanding the significance of storytelling as a form of advocacy, Olivet and the team at Center for Social Innovation use state-of-the-art research, training, and technology to focus on complex public health problems, such as homelessness, trauma, mental illness, and addiction, promoting best practices that improve the lives of marginalized and vulnerable populations.
AZCEH was honored to have Mr. Olivet at last year's conference, providing a history of homelessness from the national perspective, in conjunction with Arizona's own long-time advocate, Mr. Fred Karnas. Given recent national conversations regarding race in America, we also look forward to continuing the conversation Mr. Olivet began with last year's breakout session, The Impact of Racial Inequality on Homelessness. Join us at the 23rd Annual Statewide Conference to End Homelessness to hear more, learn from, and be inspired by Mr. Olivet in order to create change through your OWN story.
The Arizona Coalition to End Homelessness is pleased to welcome as our Day Two keynote, Liz Warren.
